Life in Palm Springs
Like many residents
and visitors who move to the Palm Springs area, I have been seduced by the beauty of the land, and enthralled by
the rich blend of cultures and
activities that define the desert cities.

For
thousands of years the city of palm Springs and the Coachella Valley area was sparsely inhabited by Native
Americans.
Around the turn of the twentieth century the local hot springs and
arid climate attracted intrepid physicians and their tubercular patients.
Fifty
years ago, Palm Springs was still an exclusive haven for movie stars and
artists.
Today the area
thrives as a world-class destination for travelers, offering some of the
finest hotels,
golf courses,
restaurants,
shopping malls,
real estate,
spas,
casinos and
recreation in the world.
Our Home in this
Desert Oasis
But the Palm Springs area is also our home. My
husband and I work in the community. My children go to school here. We shop,
worship and hit the local parks and libraries together. My son plays soccer and
basketball at the YMCA, my daughter dances in the Nutcracker every year.
We visit galleries and museums and escape to beach and mountains year round. And at night we return to our home. We go for a swim after dinner and the moon hangs over the hills, and the trees glow, the cat lies in the darkened yard like a tiger – and I think, this is paradise.
Come and see paradise for
yourself. Stay for a while, or stay forever. The 9 localities that make up the
desert cities are some of the most exciting, fastest growing little cities in the world. But the beauty and mystique of the desert never changes and never fades. On this site, you may investigate some of the best that the Desert Resort area
and the city of Palm Springs has to offer.
About this website
Soon after moving to the
desert some 13 years ago, we fell in love with the desert landscapes, the warm
nights with a billion stars in the sky and the way of life that accompanies this
most beautiful corner of the world.
A couple of years ago we
decided to share our experiences with others by building this website and
telling everybody what we felt was the "Best of Palm Springs". We loved the
idea of creating a web-based business revolving around something that we were
passionate about... that is not work!
You can build a website
too!
We discovered a fool-proof
way to develop our website business. If you are interested in finding out how
you too can build a website that works,
