Palm Springs restaurants offer a wide variety of culinary offerings. In fact,
there are so many great restaurants in Palm Springs that one must be very
careful not to lose the waistline battle!
The wide variety of menu, atmosphere and price range that exists among Palm Springs restaurants (and those throughout the
Coachella Valley) makes dining out extremely appealing.
I must say, however, that this list is not going to just include the most
expensive restaurants in town.
There are many factors that combine to create a great dining experience;
food, service, atmosphere, as well as the price factor. (So I am going to
include my favorite burger joints too!)
So, I’ve narrowed my list of essential dining experiences to a select but
very tasty assortment.

This is one of our favorite places to go where we
know we'll get great food and have a great time! It is so much fun to eat, drink
and relax while listening to the "singing waiters"...
Mario's Italian Cafe - $

When you want some good old fashioned Italian food, Mario's is the place to
go! No frills, nothing fancy, super prices and great Italian food. Best value. I
love it! There are (4) locations through out the desert...
I love Mexican food and Las Casuelas is one of the best Mexican restaurants in the desert. There are 4 locations to choose from; 2 in Palm Springs, one in Rancho Mirage and one in La Quinta. (I'm partial to the La Quinta location).
However, Macario's is my favorite! The best tasting Mexican food in the desert!
You've got to hit the Huevos Rancheros breakfast special for $3.99 in the
morning. Best sauces and tortillas - I love it... Humble, small,
off-the-beaten-path location; it feels like your eating dinner at someone
house...
This is one of our favorites. Perched on the craggy rocks of historic Point Happy, the restaurant captures the area's ranch heritage and architecture of the early 1900s. So successful is its ambiance, it won the American Society of Interior Designers first place award in Restaurant Design.
A renowned French restaurant built in an historical landmark. For 30 years Le Vallauris has been a favorite of the rich and famous. An extraordinary dining experience.
For true steak lovers, this one can't be beat. Simply the best steak anywhere. You'll pay a pretty penny, but it is well worth the price.
If money in not a concern, this is the place to go.

I'll tell you what, others may disagree, but
Outback is the best steakhouse value - unless you want to spend big $$$! A great
steak, Caesar salad, and glass of red wine for a very reasonable price. I seem
to find myself down there at least once a month.

This is a national chain restaurant
with a fun tropical / Hawaiian surfer theme. It is always fun to drop in for a
quick bite, however, I have never had a burger there that wasn't awesome! My
favorite is the "Hula Burger" with a basket of fries.
Tyler's Burgers - $

Tyler's is definitely a favorite of
the locals. Located right on the downtown strip, this renovated bus depot serves
up the juiciest burgers around!
Nobody makes New York style pizza better than Palermo's New York Pizza &
Pasta. It's not the most glamorous of locations, but the food is exceptional!

Certainly not your ordinary pizza! "CPK" is known for it's wide variety of
eclectic pizzas - (I don't know if you can even get a pepperoni here) - my
favorite is the Rosemary Chicken Potato. Locations in Palm Springs and Palm
Desert.
