In this section we will start in downtown Palm Springs to take a quick look at the retail scene, and then head over to Rancho Mirage and "The River", Palm Desert's world-famous "El Paseo" and then the east valley... Along the way we'll also make a detour over to the Cabazon factory outlet stores to find some incredible deals.

Take an afternoon and stroll up and down Palm Canyon (don't worry, if it is hot there are misters spraying cool breezy mist down upon you in most stretches). You'll be amazed at the variety of shops and eateries.

Make sure you target Thursday nights! The street is blocked in the late afternoon and is transformed into "Village Fest", a not-to-be-missed sidewalk bizarre featuring food, shopping, musicians and a whole lot of people-watching!

Rancho Mirage outlets and shopping malls

The 30-Acre waterfront destination known as The River is the focal point of shopping and entertainment in Rancho Mirage.

The River at the Rancho Mirage - The valley's newest shopping area has plenty to do. The River includes a 12-screen multiplex and eateries such as The Cheescake Factory, P.F. Chang’s, YardHouse, Ben & Jerry’s and Fleming’s Steakhouse just to name a few.

Palm Desert outlets and shopping malls

Palm Desert is home to the world-famous El Paseo. Our answer to Beverly Hills' Rodeo Drive!. On El Paseo Drive is a fantastic shopping extravaganza known as, "The Gardens at El Paseo".

This sprawling dual-level, open-air shopping and dining complex is a couture and culinary oasis. With over 200 specialty shops and restaurants, The Gardens at El Paseo is not to be missed.

Desert Hills Premium Outlets in Cabazon

Formerly the Cabazon Factory Outlets, this fantastic 130-store premium shopping center draws thousands of bargain-hunters every week.

Whether you need shoes, clothing or kitchenware, you can probably find it here. Tour buses full of shoppers often crowd this outdoor mall looking for factory-priced bargains!
