I agree, I once stayed at the Hyatt hotel in Palm Springs, it is a nice place to stay - good location if you are staying on that side of town.
There is also a big mall there, but it is sort of closed down and not being used. That's too bad.
The Hyatt Regency Suite is a good place to stay unless you want to spend a lot of time "down valley" or eastward towards Palm Desert and La Quinta. The Hyatt is in the original Palm Springs area.
